W 1969 roku wydzielono z ELWRO produkcji automatyki - Zakład Kompleksowej Automatyzacji wraz z Pracownią Projektowania Automatyki i Oddziałem w Górze Śląskiej zostały przekształcone w samodzielne przedsiębiorstwo: Wrocławskie Przedsiębiorstwo Automatyzacji ELAM (późniejsze Mera-Elmat) z siedzibą przy ul. Obornickiej.
W 1976 roku z połączenia wrocławskich zakładów Mera-Elwro i Mera-Elmat utworzono Centrum Komputerowych Systemów Automatyki i Pomiarów Mera Elwro.
